We had our bicycles with us to experience the landscape off the main roads. For the accommodation our choice fell on the Hotel Restaurant Mediterraneo in Neustadt-Lachen.

Next to the Hotel Mediterraneo there is a school in front of which there are public parking spaces, which were also available in sufficient numbers.

Checked in at the hotel, we found ourselves in newly renovated, practically furnished and spotlessly clean rooms.

Since it was only 4 pm, we quickly changed our clothes and got on our bikes. From Lachen in direction Diedesfeld and then further through the vineyards into the forest a little bit up the mountain.

Then we saw a narrow, bumpy single trail on the left. We could not resist this challenge.

Back at the hotel we met in the inner courtyard where we had reserved a big table for us. We all had ordered pasta or pizza, but we already noticed with the bruschette that there is an expert at work in the kitchen. The anticipation for the next day increased .

The next evening we had again reserved a big table to celebrate a birthday. It started again with a glass of Prosecco for the adults and a fruit juice cocktail for the youngsters, on the house. Then the bruschette was served again.

As a starter, antipasti mista was ordered for all - simply divine. Especially the lukewarm aubergines in tomato sauce were a poem. Everyone ordered the main course a la carte. Take a look at the pictures and yes, it tasted that way too. By the way, the cook came several times in the evening to the courtyard, where there is also a small herb garden to cut fresh herbs.

For dessert there was Panna Cotta for everyone. All this was accompanied by an extensive wine selection and an attentive but never intrusive service.

We enjoyed it very much and we will come back again.

This was really the perfect enjoyment on the German wine route
